Max, an advertising titan, has retired to Si Chaud, his vacation paradise in a Jamaican fishing village. He is afflicted with Alzheimer’s; his three children learn that his second wife, their stepmother, plans to sell the place and take him to Florida. They are certain he will get better care in the village that knows and loves him – and want to preserve their legacy. Ignoring a looming hurricane, they rendezvous in Jamaica to thwart her plans. Unknown to them, their father long ago took under his wing and educated the village man who now manages Si Chaud – who has plans of his own for the property. The tensions of love for the parent and the paradise play out as the hurricane strikes.
