I published last summer, in
Sheepshead Review, an account of running out of money in Florida while seeing the USA, “A Jar of Jelly”. But that was only part of my life with a Model A Ford built in 1931,
the year I was born. I set about to write the larger context of that summer’s trip: An early instance of the teen-age male urge to own a car.
